Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Aviation Civil Engineer, we''ll count on you to:Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Aviation Civil Engineer, we''ll count on you to:Design and plan production for general civil on wide variety of airfield projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activitiesAct as the Task Lead/Design Lead, as appropriate.Collaborate with multi-discipline architectural/engineering teams on aviation projects and pursuits across multiple regionsContribute to and participate in client and design review meetingsPrepare technical reports, specifications and contract documentsAssist with conducting quantity calculations and construct cost estimatesPerform moderately complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresEffectively communicate most project issues with clients, contractors and suppliers/vendorsServe and/or grow as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as neededAssist with construction administration and management related duties as neededMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as neededPlan, organize and supervise work of other junior staff and technicians as neededPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience with AVIPlanRequired QualificationsBachelor''s degree in EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licensePrevious experience with Airfield Planning and DesignThorough understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software), AVI-Plan software packages and Infraworks modeling software (or similar design software).Overall understanding of airfield designMicrosoft Office experienceStrong technical background and experience in designing several aspects of airfieldsSolid written and verbal communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
