Responsibilities Deliver evidencebased nursing care Liaise with the multidisciplinary team Ensure patient and staff safety Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; ENs and AINs to deliver patient care Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or endoflife needs Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licensed 122bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT and a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Darwin Private also has an 18bed Mental Health & AOD unit, the Darwin Clinic, which also incorporates a dedicated Day Rehabilitation Program. Our worldclass private hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote Aboriginal communities and even offshore. We are colocated with Royal Darwin Hospital and partner in delivering specialised care to patients from across the top end of Australia. Selection Criteria Current Registration with AHPRA Experience in Orthopaedics (preferred) Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards) NT Working with Children check Commitment to Quality Patient Care Compliance with ACQSHC National standards Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Works well independently and within a team If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and Darwin Private Hospital Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreement 20212024 ($37.79 $50.97 per hour).
