Analyze and interpret building plans and work orders.Erect and dismantle scaffolding, and create structures using various materials.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining accurate records.BricklayerJ & S CON PTY LTD14 Broadwater St, Manor Lakes, VIC 3024Position: Full-timeSalary $70,000 - $80,000J & S CON Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled and experience bricklayer to join our business.Duties and responsibilities:Analyzing and interpreting building plans.Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.Erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffoldingCreating and maintaining structures, walls, foundations etc using various types of blocks, tiles, boards, and stone.Laying bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between jointsEmbedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortarStrengthening and sealing foundations with the appropriate material, usually damp-resistant materialsFastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.Repairing building blocksUnderstanding and managing the quantities of material required for the jobUsing tools such as hand tools, brick-cutting machines but also spirit levels and plumb lines to check building alignmentWorking safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.Ensuring compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safetyMaintaining accurate records/documentation associated with the work undertakenSummary of role requirements:Certificate III/IV in Bricklaying or equivalent1 year of relevant experienceSalary - $70,000 - $80,000Stay Safe While Job HuntingWe vet all employer accounts and do our best to keep job ads safe, but scams can still occur.
