Where you''ll be working: Royal North Shore Hospital What You''ll Be Doing: The primary responsibility of a clinical coder is the accurate translation of narrative descriptions of diseases, injuries and procedures into alphanumeric codes using ICD-10-AM and the correct assignment of the DRG within the NSW Health and Northern Sydney Local Health District timeframes. Eligibility Statement: People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply. Requirements: Completion of HIMAA/OTEN coding course or relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management. Demonstrated coding experience in a tertiary hospital using ICD-10-AM/ACHI and 3M Codefinder across a range of specialties with a proven knowledge and understanding of Australian Coding Standards and DRGs. Demonstrated experience with Patient Administration system/eMR such as Cerner.
