Join QBuild as a Senior Superintendent for an exciting career opportunity as you provide a high level of contract supervisory services in respect to construction and engineering contracts, in accordance with contractual provisions and with specific focus on the administration of government contracts. This role can be performed from any of our office locations within the Wide Bay Burnett. QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government''s builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. About The Role You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild''s ambition to strengthen Queensland''s building and construction industry by providing exceptional contract supervisory services. Duties And Skills Involved Providing high level contract supervisory services with respect to traditional and non-traditional contract systems from tender acceptance to final certification on medium to major projects. Ensuring contract administration policies and procedures applicable to all contracts are implemented and operating effectively. Undertaking contract supervisory services within the assigned region, with respect to and in accordance with contractual provisions. Providing direction and management to a team of Superintendent''s Representatives and contract management support staff to enhance their skills and maximise their performance and effectiveness. Acting as a point of reference on matters of build ability and on-site construction management for Superintendent''s and Superintendent''s Representatives within the business unit. Ensuring Superintendent''s Representatives, both internal and external to the business unit, act in accordance with QBuild procedures and systems in respect to contract administration and contractual provisions. Ensuring that post contract performance evaluation systems and procedures are undertaken in a timely manner. Communicating to all project team members and clients concerning all potential cost and time issues which are contract specific. Providing financial advice, including cost proposals to external and internal stakeholders ensuring that the commercial viability of the Wide Bay Burnett Contract Management team. Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff. Additional Requirements Please note this role will require the occupant to regularly travel to other locations within Queensland which may include overnight stays up to 4 nights. How do I apply?
