Your part in the Statewide Facilities & Maintenance team Operating at a statewide level, our Facilities & Maintenance team supports the delivery of UnitingCare Queensland services through proactively managing and maintaining the extensive property portfolios in South East Queensland (SEQ), Rural and Regional Queensland (R&R) and Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS). Joining the team in the Maintenance and Grounds Officer role, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and connect with colleagues, residents and contractors at a designated BlueCare local site whilst being supported by teams in the region and across the state. What a day looks like A day in the role will see you balancing general gardening duties and lawn care, maintenance of plant and equipment, undertaking minor property work and, importantly, contributing to the safe and pleasing environment for our aged care residents, staff and visitors. Requirements & Qualifications Experience in the maintenance building, plant, equipment gardening or landscape or the ability to acquire these skills. Demonstrated communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Commitment to be a proactive member of a regional team. Relevant Trade Qualifications or Certificate in Facilities, Building or Construction. Ability to manage work schedules and meet deadlines. Proficiency in IT systems. Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
