Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Cook / Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The role involves preparation and cooking of pizzas and other menu items, management of kitchen workflow during service, and adherence to high food safety and hygiene standards. The successful candidate will be capable of working autonomously and supporting the team during peak periods. Key Duties & Responsibilities Preparation and cooking of pizzas and other menu dishes to a high and consistent standard. Preparation and management of daily mise en place (doughs, sauces, toppings, prep lines). Operating and managing stone pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Coordinating orders and pacing during service to ensure timely delivery and quality. Compliance with HACCP, food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Stock rotation, receipt of deliveries, portion control and waste minimisation. Collaboration with Head Chef and kitchen team; ability to step up during busy services. Contribution to menu development, seasonal specials and operational improvements. Skills & Experience Required Minimum 2 years experience in a Cook / Chef de Partie role in a fast-paced restaurant or pizzeria. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation and food safety compliance. Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining quality and timing. Effective communication skills in English & positive team attitude. Availability for rotating roster evenings, weekends, public holidays included. Formal culinary qualifications (Cert III/IV or equivalent) welcome but not mandatory where experience is demonstrated. Full-time ongoing position 38 hours per week guaranteed. Salary range AUD $77,000 $85,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation) depending on experience and skill level. Pay/conditions compliant with relevant Award & Australian employment legislation.
