Environmental Services Assistant (Housekeeping) Join to apply for the Environmental Services Assistant (Housekeeping) role at St John of God Health Care. We are seeking casual Environmental Services Assistants to work night duty 9pm to 5am. The role includes housekeeping duties within the unit and across the hospital to maintain a clean, infectionfree environment for patients and caregivers. Position Assist with safe and tidy storage of supplies within the unit. Perform housekeeping duties throughout the unit in accordance with the Statement of Duties and Cleaning Standards of Victorian Health Facilities. Ensure patient rooms are presented to hospital standards. Participate as a valued team member, promoting a supportive team environment. Communicate effectively with all caregivers, customers, and patients using appropriate channels, formal and informal. Participate in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose an OHS risk. Have basic knowledge of chemical usage and effective communication skills. You will have an understanding of occupational safety and health practices, infection control, and housekeeping protocols while maintaining a high level of cleaning skills and equipment knowledge.
