The Head of Technology, Engineering exists to operate and extend Domains Platform strategy, roadmap, practices and processes. The role will lead the Engineering Platform area, rolemodeling and reinforcing a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. They will define principles, practices, and standards, developing standardised playbooks, practice guides, and artefacts that will support consistent ways of working and a highperforming product engineering team. The Head of Technology, Engineering will strategically partner with CoStar Groups global platform team and Domains divisional partners to understand, define, design and build technology solutions that are aligned to CoStar Group Technology and support Domains business objectives and capability roadmap. They will collaborate and communicate across technology and business domains to ensure the future direction and execution plans are aligned with CoStar Groups global technology strategy and with the application frameworks, chosen tools and engineering practices. The incumbent will have experience designing, building, and operating highvalue, clientfacing SaaS products, preferably in a Head of/Senior Manager of Technology/Engineering role, where they have managed multiple engineering teams. What youll be doing Lead the Engineering Platform area to operate and extend Domains platform strategy, roadmap, practices, and processes. Rolemodel and reinforce a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across engineering teams. Define and maintain engineering principles, practices, and standards. Develop standardised playbooks, practice guides, and artefacts that enable consistent ways of working and support a highperforming product engineering function. Partner strategically with CoStar Groups global platform team and Domains divisional partners to design and build technology solutions aligned to CoStar Group Technology and Domains business objectives. Ensure alignment of future technology direction and execution plans with CoStar Groups global technology strategy, application frameworks, tooling choices, and engineering practices. Collaborate and communicate effectively across technology and business domains to drive shared understanding and alignment. What Success Looks Like Develop and implement Domains Marketplace Foundations Product Platform roadmap, practices, and processes. Simplify Domains technology stack by migrating legacy technology onto the newly established platforms (Identity, API Gateway, Cloud Management, Developer Experience) that significantly improve Domain''s underlying technological capabilities. Partner with CoStar Groups global technology team and divisional partners to understand, define, design and build technology solutions that are aligned to CoStar Group''s global technology strategy and Domains business objectives and capability roadmap. Create/maintain principles, practices, and standards to get there. Manage Domains new Marketplace Foundation Product Platform team including setting a vision, setting performance expectations, hiring, training and mentoring. Drive adoption of Marketplace Foundations Product Platform across the engineering team via personal credibility and experience, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. Develop standardised frameworks, playbooks, practice guides and other artefacts that will allow the engineering team to work in a structured and standardised manner. Collaborate and communicate across technology and business domains to ensure execution plans are aligned with the application frameworks, chosen tools and engineering practices. Create awareness and buyin amongst various stakeholders about architecture, design patterns, framework and new ways of working. Needs to be able to act as a mentor/executor when required. Basic Qualifications A bachelors degree in programming, computer science, computer engineering or equivalent. Minimum 10+ years experience in services, product development, infrastructure and security expertise as an architect or similar handson technology leadership role. Minimum 3+ years experience as a Head of / Director of Technology/Engineering managing large and complex technology teams. Minimum 3+ experience managing modern software development tools, application and system performance monitoring, patterns and practices required to build highly available and scalable services. Minimum 3+ experience managing cloud native infrastructure, integration, virtualisation, storage, networks and security technologies. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience with largescale technology modernisations and platform migrations. Experience with technology transformations, integrating effective agile planning and development practices across large organisations. Why join us?
