How you''ll make an impact Demonstrate thought leadership and influence across the division with proactive advice and support to continuously improve the way risk, compliance and controls are managed Understand risk appetite and monitor business activities against defined tolerances, taking action and making recommendations to metric owners where risks are out of appetite Support the business to implement policy requirements across the business, specifically those which relate to risk and compliance Ensure the GRC system is maintained effectively for the business unit, specifically that all requirements are met and there is quality data within the system Develop and ensure the execution of the business control testing plan to provide assurance on the design and operating effectiveness of the control environment Ensure that the delivery of change initiatives across the business is completed with the required risk and compliance activities (e.g. change risk assessments, privacy impact assessments) Plan and execute risk deep dives across the business as required where there are systemic issues or other matters where it is evident there are opportunities for improvement Prepare, analyse and contribute risk, compliance, control information as required to risk forum, Board, Committee and other reporting and provide insights that drive better management of risks, controls and obligations in the business Support the GM to lead the identification, assessment and management of risks and maintain associated documentation in the risk system Lead the team to provide advice and solutions for incoming regulatory change in conjunction with the technical team Drive and take ownership of the process within the business to support the Risk Management Declaration (RMD) to the NM Super Board on an annual basis Support the embedding and ongoing efficacy of the framework within the S&I business for the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) Support the GM to lead the implementation of CPS230 within the S&I business Lead the co-ordination of internal and external audit activity as required Support the maintenance of Business Continuity requirements to ensure the business can maintain resilience in times of disruption What you will bring to the team Extensive experience, 10+ years, working in financial services with risk management and compliance experience and a relevant product/customer/regulatory background Proven experience in the successful management and implementation of regulatory changes Demonstrated ability to implement operational and/or organisational change Ability to contribute to the development of business plans and present in senior leadership environments Strong experience of managing multiple projects and working in a project environment and understanding of project management principles Experience in identifying, assessing and addressing operational risk Understanding of competitors propositions and industry trends, as they relate to the wealth management, in particular platforms environment Youll thrive here if If you can adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease, you''ll do well here.
