Data Officer (Endocrine and Diabetes Research) Join to apply for the Data Officer (Endocrine and Diabetes Research) role at Children''s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service The position of Data Officer within the Department of Endocrinology & Diabetes will facilitate the departmental aims of delivering excellence through evidencebased clinical practice and translational research by managing and maintaining the research data systems for the Endocrine and Diabetes service at Queensland Childrens Hospital and for those sites involved in the projects across the state. About The Role Lead and manage the statewide Diabetes in Queensland Children and Adolescents (DIABQPaeds) Registry research project across all Hospital and Health Services and Private Practices involved. Coordinate and monitor the quality of data collection for DIABQPaeds Registry and Australasian Paediatric Endocrine Group Patient (APR) Registry. Maintain system security and integrity of REDCap databases, including the manipulation, quality, and reporting of data. Ensure all data management and procedures protect and maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information and the patient/participants individual rights. Ensure good clinical data management and research practices, including data collection, storage, quality management, privacy, ethics, and appropriate data use, by adhering to Queensland Health policies, relevant National standards, and applicable legislation. Design, develop, and manage data collection tools and forms as required. Coordinate regular data audits, cleaning, and validation activities to ensure highquality, accurate, and reliable data across systems. Contribute to the provision of quality data and information to support decision making and assist in the reporting and trending of data for Endocrinology and Diabetes services. Facilitate staff training (induction/ongoing) and skill development, for all staff streams, in relation to REDCap data systems, PowerForms and Dashboards for Endocrine and Diabetes projects. Assist clinicians to complete clinical data within ieMR to ensure that the Diabetes Service dashboard is continually uptodate. Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with the Digital Health Services Teams e.g. Health informatics and Data, analytics and custom solutions teams. Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of relevant applications. Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of research ethics and governance processes for statewide research projects. Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary staff at various levels throughout a large, diverse organisation. Demonstrated high level of written, interpersonal, training and presentation skills.
