About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to head the Agriculture Sector Strategy team within the Agriculture & Biosecurity division. This pivotal role will lead the development and implementation of evidence-based strategic policy frameworks that inform the NSW Government''s Agriculture Sector Strategy. You will oversee a specialised taskforce of strategy and agriculture experts, and work closely with senior executives and government stakeholders to deliver high-impact policy outcomes that support a vibrant, export-led agricultural economy. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of complex policy projects from inception to implementation, including research, analysis, stakeholder consultation, and evaluation. Provide expert policy advice to senior government officials, including Ministers and Executive Leadership. Navigate parliamentary and cabinet processes to progress legislation and strategic documents. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based analysis to support innovative and cost-effective policy solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships across government agencies, industry stakeholders, and academic institutions. Monitor emerging trends and policy developments nationally and internationally to inform strategy. About You You are a strategic thinker and skilled communicator with a deep understanding of government policy processes. You bring: Proven experience leading and delivering complex policy initiatives. Demonstrated ability to advise senior officials and Ministers on sensitive and high-impact issues.
