Job Description

HumeLink West Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink highvoltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW and will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australias eastern states. It is one of Australias largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365km of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV doublecircuit transmission lines spanning ~140km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai, and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Opportunity This role will be based in Sydney for the duration of the project supporting the HumeLink West finance and payroll team. The role will work Monday to Friday and may be required to work nontraditional hours in line with construction works. Key Accountabilities Endtoend weekly payroll for direct bluecollar employees. Review and approve timesheets, allowances, penalties, and overtime. Ensure full compliance with the Enterprise Agreement, Awards, and payroll legislation. Provide expert advice to supervisors, employees, and internal stakeholders. Drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across payroll processes. About You Strong experience delivering complex weekly payrolls in a highvolume environment. Solid understanding of Enterprise Agreements and Award interpretation. Previous leadership or senior payroll experience. High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work to strict deadlines while leading a highperforming team. Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint). The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement. Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
