Position Overview Were seeking a Greenhouse Team Leader Hydroponic Crops to guide a small team in propagating hydroponic crops and supporting trials across our two Product Development Centres. Youll be involved in planting, pruning, harvesting, monitoring plant health, applying pest controls, and recording trial data under the guidance of our Farm Manager and Agronomists. This role suits someone practical, eager to learn, and committed to quality, safety, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Supervise and perform all activities related to seeding and crop planting Tray cleaning and disinfection Pest and disease monitoring and control Undertake harvesting activities Carry out pruning tasks to maintain plant health and optimise yield Assist with the operation of irrigation and fertigation systems Collect and record crop performance data, harvest volumes, and quality metrics Monitor and log pest levels, diseases, plant health and treatment effectiveness Assist in the preparation of reports on progress, issues, and recommendations for improvement Maintain and enforce high standards of food safety, produce quality and biosecurity Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and enforce safe work practices Skills & Attributes Experience or training in agriculture or a related field Knowledge of crop management, pest and disease control, and farm operations desirable but not essential Experience as a supervisor essential Strong organisational and recordkeeping skills Physical fitness and stamina for handson farm work Experience with different crops in an NFT recirculation system highly desirable Deep understanding of plant nutrition and hydroponic recipes desirable Advanced Excel and statistical software skills desirable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Qualifications Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture essential Chemical application accreditation Forklift ticket or willingness to obtain one Fulltime work rights in Australia Seniority level MidSenior level Employment type Fulltime Job function Information Technology Horticulture Location Mallala, South Australia, Australia #J-18808-Ljbffr
