Essential Requirements A degree in Veterinary Science registrable in NSW; registrar registration with the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board, and A current NSW Driver Licence, with the capacity and willingness to travel throughout the region as required. About You Hold a degree in Veterinary Science registrable in NSW, with NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board registration, experience in large animal medicine and welfare, and the capability to rapidly detect and diagnose notifiable herd and flock diseases using epidemiological principles. Expertise to educate and engage livestock owners, industry stakeholders and private veterinarians to prevent, identify and report notifiable diseases, while supporting compliance and improved onfarm practices. Willingness to lead and support the management, control and eradication of notifiable and emergency animal disease incidents, including safe stock movement and contribution to state and national response programs. Ability to maintain accurate disease information systems and documentation to support traceability, government certification, assurance programs and diseasefree status for producers and the district. Knowledge of biosecurity and animal welfare risks and field service delivery, holding a current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel, to meet objectives under the NSW Animal Biosecurity and Welfare Strategic Plan.
