At Enerven, were connecting you with tomorrow.About the roleThis role sits within Transmission & Aerial Services, the team responsible for delivering Enervens advanced drone capability across highvoltage transmission, renewables, major projects and asset maintenance. The teams purpose is to provide safer, faster and more accurate inspections and data capture using RPAS technology, supporting how we build and maintain critical energy infrastructure.The Chief Remote Pilot is the CASAapproved lead for all RPAS operations under Enervens ReOC. The role ensures every flight is conducted safely, efficiently and in line with CASA regulations, while guiding and supporting a dispersed group of remote pilots. It maintains operational standards, flight records and airworthiness requirements, and develops the procedures, work methods and approvals needed for specialised operations.What makes this work unique is the breadth of Enervens drone program. The team operates one of the most advanced utilitybased RPAS capabilities droneinabox automation and heavylift stringing. With strong engineering depth and a culture of innovation, the role offers genuine scope to shape operating methods and contribute to the growth of Enervens national aerial services capability.Day to day you will:Approve and oversee daily flight operations across SA and NSW.Ensure all RPAS activity complies with the Civil Aviation Act, MOS101, CASA regulations and Enervens ReOC.Maintain flight logs, pilot competency records, aircraft airworthiness and maintenance documentation.Develop and update SOPs, safe work methods, checklists and operational procedures.Lead applications for CASA approvals, permissions and variations (including EVLOS/BVLOS).Provide operational guidance, coaching and support to our remote pilots.Liaise with CASA as the organisations primary point of contact for RPAS matters.Work closely with Transmission Maintenance, Major Projects and the Aerial Services Lead to uplift standards and support commercial opportunities.Contribute to innovation, capability development and future national expansion of the drone program.About you:Current RePL licence (sub25kg) covering Multirotor and Fixed Wing.100+ logged and verifiable hours on mediumcategory RPAS (725kg).Experience operating within a ReOC environment.Strong working knowledge of: Civil Aviation Act and CASA regulations MOS101.Demonstrated experience maintaining operational records, flight logs and aircraft maintenance schedules.Experience developing SOPs, SWMS, checklists or operational documentation.Ability to lead, mentor and support remote pilots.Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging across technical, field and regulatory environments.High level of safety awareness and sound operational judgement.Current drivers licence and ability to travel.Were looking for someone who is confident operating in a technical, regulated environment and can bring strong judgement to daytoday operational decisions. They will be proactive, organised and comfortable leading standards across a dispersed team of remote pilots. Relationship building is important, this role works closely with field crews, inspectors, project teams and external stakeholders including CASA.The right person will have a steady, safetyfirst approach, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly. They will be adaptable, curious and open to new technology, as much of our future capability will involve automation, advanced data capture and evolving operating methods.
