Position Title: PGY4 UCC ITCU Medical OfficerClassification: HM14 or as per experienceDepartment: UCC About Bass Coast Health On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health. Mandatory Requirements Entitlement to work within Australia A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date Provision of valid Working with Children Check At least 4 years of post-graduating experience including but not limited to emergency medicine, urgent care Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including a demonstrated customer service and problem-solving approach to dealing with colleagues and clients. DESIRABLE: Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team working towards a common objective. Highly developed analytical and evaluative skills. Demonstrated organisational ability, including the ability to prioritise clinically Experience in rural or regional health settings. Interest in emergency medicine, general practice, or internal medicine. Experience in oncology or renal medicine (desirable but not essential).
