Senior Inspector Scientific Officer Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) Join to apply for the Senior Inspector Scientific Officer role at Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS). Pay Range Base pay range: A$129,211.00/yr A$142,460.00/yr. Location Subiaco, Western Australia, Australia. Key Responsibilities Carry out workplace inspections and take enforcement action when health and safety laws are breached. Investigate more complex, sensitive and/or controversial workplace incidents and accidents involving your area of expertise. Deliver specialised advice and identify and respond to more complex emerging issues and trends related to workplace safety and health, especially in area of expertise. Support inspectors in industry teams and in the investigations directorate in relation to area of expertise. Coach and mentor less experienced inspectors on more complex/sensitive issues. Coordinate/participate in a range of projects. Participate in the development of legislation, policy and systems. Promote WHS and area of expertise, deliver presentations and provide information to organisations/industries. Qualifications & Licenses A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent qualifications in a discipline relevant to psychosocial health and safety. Qualifications in psychology would be well regarded.
