A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityJoin the SSN AUKUS Build Program as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager Submarine Propulsion Systems, leading the development and execution of manufacturing engineering strategies for the Secondary Propulsion System. You''ll coordinate across design, production, and quality teams to ensure successful industrialisation and integration of propulsion components, while serving as the CDRL lead for manufacturing capability.ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of manufacturing engineering strategies for the Secondary Propulsion SystemAct as the CDRL lead for Secondary Propulsion Manufacturing CapabilityCoordinate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and integrationDevelop and maintain manufacturing plans, process documentation, and tooling requirementsSupport facility readiness and equipment selection for production capabilityEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standardsProvide technical leadership and mentoring to manufacturing engineering staffEngage with internal and external stakeholders to support program objectivesAbout YouBachelor''s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering within complex, regulated environments, such as Defence Shipbuilding ProgramsProven leadership in delivering manufacturing capability for propulsion or mechanical systemsStrong understanding of CDRL processes and Defence contracting requirementsExcellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination skillsChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) statusFamiliarity with UK and/or Australian naval engineering standardsThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
