About Yara Pilbara The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers'' plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world and we have also taken the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica. Together with ENGIE, Yara Pilbara will also build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia. Our office is based in the convenient location of Adelaide Terrace, in Perth CBD. Yara is currently seeking a motivated Turnaround Planner (Work Process & Mechanical) to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across our Ammonia, Nitric Acid, and Ammonium Nitrate production plants, supporting the successful end-to-end planning, scheduling, and execution of Turnarounds. Reporting directly to the Turnaround Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering systematic and high-quality Turnaround planning, aligned with Yaras standards and continuous improvement culture. This role is Perth-based, with the first six months involving regular travel to our Karratha plant. Key Responsibilities Plan and develop detailed mechanical (static / rotary) turnaround scopes, including OCO-SHE projects, with complete work packs, QA plans, and discipline approvals. Drive the implementation and continual improvement of Turnaround Work Processes and Procedures, ensuring alignment with Yara standards. Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (Maintenance, Inspection, Projects, Production, Central Services) to ensure scope readiness and interface clarity. Profile A Certificate III or IV (or a relevant trade / TAFE qualification) with 5+ years of planning experience in industries such as petrochemical, gas processing, or oil refining Alternatively, 3+ years experience, with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR Graduate Mechanical Engineering with some practical experience in maintenance and turnarounds planning & execution. Proven background in planning both maintenance and turnaround activities Experience in having delivered full-cycle major turnarounds preferred Skilled in using specialized turnaround planning and scheduling tools, including Primavera P6 Confident user of SAP and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and environmental practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Australian / New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
