Trainer & Assessor Mining | Contract Position Location: Central Queensland Rolleson Industry: Mining, Education & Training Employment Type: Contract (Drive-In Drive-Out Only) About the Role Get Connected Training (RTO 45401) is seeking experienced and motivated Workplace Trainers & Assessors to deliver accredited training, assessments, and site authorisations across coal mines in Central Queensland. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about safety, capability development, and maintaining high compliance standards in mining environments. You will work a 7/7 dayshift-only roster, providing a consistent, lifestyle-friendly schedule. Competitive day rates, travel allowances, and a supplied site vehicle make this an attractive long-term contract opportunity. What We Offer $900 per day (with notable increase after successful probation) $600 per swing driving allowance Days only roster 7/7 Drive-in Drive-out (DIDO) no FIFO Mining vehicle provided onsite Supportive RTO team with ongoing work opportunities Immediate start available for the right candidate Qualifications & Experience Required Mandatory TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test Relevant RII competencies and/or High-Risk Work Licences, such as: Forklift Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Dogging / Transfer Loads Basic Rigging Non-Slew Crane RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights Copies of certificates are required. Willingness to obtain additional units is welcomed. Highly Advantageous Standard 11 (GI) Coal Board Medical (CBM) Current Glencore Generic Induction Previous training experience on Queensland coal sites Key Responsibilities Deliver accredited training and conduct assessments in line with RTO requirements. Conduct onsite Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments. Provide site-specific authorisations aligned with mine safety and compliance requirements. Maintain accurate and compliant training documentation. Represent the RTO professionally and build strong relationships with mine site personnel.
