Join to apply for the Senior Project Officer role at Bloom HR Pty Ltd Fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027 (funded by the Department for Environment and Water) Reports to: Chief Executive Officer, Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Corporation Make a lasting impact for Country, Culture, and Community Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Project Officer to lead Ngarrindjeri engagement and representation in the Department for Environment and Waters Healthy Coorong, Healthy Basin (HCHB) Program. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the protection and management of Ngarrindjeri Country while ensuring Ngarrindjeri voices and values are embedded in environmental and cultural heritage decisionmaking. About The Role As the Senior Project Officer, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating Ngarrjeri input into DEWs Water Infrastructure and Operations Branch activities. Youll work closely with government partners, NAC leadership, and the broader Ngarrindjeri community to ensure meaningful representation, engagement, and outcomes under the HCHB Program. Your Responsibilities Leading NACs delivery of services under the HCHB grant agreement. Providing strategic oversight and guidance to ensure Ngarrindjeri perspectives are integrated into all aspects of the program. Coordinating community engagement and communication to support transparency and participation. Providing secretariat support to the HCHB Working Group, including preparing agendas, minutes, and reports. Collaborating with DEWs Aboriginal Partnerships Officer to identify opportunities for Ngarrindjeri involvement and benefit. Supporting media and promotional activities that highlight Ngarrindjeri contributions to the program. About You You are an organised, proactive, and culturally grounded professional with a strong commitment to advancing Ngarrindjeri interests and rights. Youre confident working in partnership with government and community stakeholders, and you can balance strategic priorities with handson project delivery. To Succeed In This Role A demonstrated understanding of and respect for Ngarrindjeri culture, values, and community priorities. Proven experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or community consultation. Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills. Highlevel organisational skills with experience providing administrative or secretariat support. The ability to build trusted relationships across government, community, and partner organisations. Desirable Knowledge of environmental management, water infrastructure, or cultural heritage programs. Experience working in Aboriginal communitycontrolled organisations. Familiarity with government funding agreements and reporting processes. Why Join The Team?
