IU601 Town Presentation Team Leader - Canowindra Cabonne Council has an exciting opportunity in our Urban Infrastructure team as a Town Presentation Team Leader. The purpose of this role is to lead the team in carrying out day to day maintenance of parks, streets, gardens, public amenities, buildings, and tourist venues in a neat and tidy condition and free of rubbish in accordance with Councils asset management plan objectives, relevant legislation, policies, procedures and documentation. Assist with operational works of Councils wastewater and water infrastructure as required. Work teams are led by a supportive and proactive leadership team. You will be provided support and training in line with Council''s values to learn the role and ensure our workers are resilient, adaptive and are able to perform to Council and community expectations. This role is full-time, based in Canowindra, but working across the local government area. To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience Construction Induction Certification (White Card) Class C drivers'' licence. Basic knowledge of plants and horticulture practices Sound knowledge of mowing maintenance procedures and gardening practices. Well-developed time management and organiatiosnal skills. Experience in leading, motivating staff. Excellent communication and negotiating skills. Commitment to exceptional customer service. Computer and systems skills and the ability to learn and apply new technologies Good general knowledge of plant & machinery relating to town maintenance. Liquified chlorine gas awareness training Ideally have Chem Cert level 3 or equivalent. Chainsaw certification. MR Drivers licence Competency to operate other various items of plant would be advantageous Remuneration and Benefits The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023 and Cabonne Councils policies and conditions of employment. This position is graded 5 in Council''s salary system with a gross weekly wage range of $1190.00 - $1281.50 dependant on qualifications and experience.
