Were looking for a reliable and energetic dishy/kitchen hand to join our team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly during busy daytime service. Role Overview The Dishwasher/Kitchen Hand plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness and supporting kitchen operations. Youll work closely with our chefs and frontofhouse team to ensure dishes, equipment, and food prep areas are kept clean, organised, and ready for service. Responsibilities Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently Maintain a clean, sanitised, and organised dishwashing area Assist chefs with basic food preparation (e.g., chopping, portioning, prepping ingredients) Restock plates, cups, cutlery, and kitchen supplies as needed Dispose of rubbish and recycling properly Keep floors, benches, and equipment clean and safe Assist with general kitchen tasks during busy periods Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times About You Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fastpaced environment Strong work ethic with attention to detail Ability to multitask and stay organised under pressure Good communication and teamwork skills Physically capable of being on your feet and lifting light loads Previous experience is an advantage but not essential What We Offer Friendly and supportive team environment Consistent daytime hours (no nights!) About Us Gun Cotton Coffee is a busy, localsloved daytime caf in Yandina. We serve great coffee, tasty food, and good vibes. Were looking for a support cook to join our kitchen crew. This role is always supervised and perfect for someone whos confident with the basics and keen to learn more. It also suits a qualified chef looking for some fun times in a casual caf setting. What Youll Be Doing Helping with simple food prep (chopping, portioning, prepping ingredients) Assisting our cook during service with straightforward cooking tasks Putting dishes together and making sure they look great Keeping the kitchen tidy, clean, and stocked Jumping in wherever needed to keep things moving smoothly Following food safety and hygiene guidelines What Were Looking For Reliable, hardworking, and happy in a fastpaced kitchen Comfortable taking direction and working under supervision Some basic cooking/kitchen experience is a bonus Team player with a good attitude Keen to learn and improve your skills What Youll Get Casual daytime hours (no nights!)
