Orana Gardens Ltd Aged Care Personal Care Assistant Orana Gardens Ltd is seeking qualified Aged Care Personal Care Assistants with experience within Residential Aged Care Facilities. Applicants must have a passion for providing excellent care and support, and strive to deliver quality care to our valued residents. Orana Gardens is a diverse community organisation with strong ties to our local health care providers. Clinical support is offered 24/7 with onsite RNs. The focus is on every individuals care, health, wellbeing and lifestyle. Mandatory Requirements Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent Highly developed written and communication skills Proven ability to work independently or as a team Passion and empathy to work with the elderly Commitment to quality management and continuous improvement Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards Capacity to work within Orana Gardens Mission, Vision and Statement of Values Proof of working rights in Australia Preferred Requirements Medication Management Qualifications Certificates in manual handling, Covid19, infection control, hand hygiene, first aid/CPR (preferred) Key Responsibilities Provision of activities and daily living support to residents in accordance with resident choice and preference and established care plans Assist residents with activities of daily living, hygiene, grooming, mobility, nutrition and hydration Being proactive in encouraging residents independence and the provision of holistic care Encourage residents to participate in social and recreational activities Implement and undertake clinical practices in accordance with the Registered Nurse (RN) directives Administer and document medication management (if medication competent) Promote physical and emotional wellbeing Facilitate, support and assist residents in meeting their emotional, physical, cultural, spiritual and sexual needs Document and record information in relation to residents care needs, observations, notes, medications, incidents and assessments Report any changes in residents condition to the RN for review at the appropriate time Respect residents rights to privacy and dignity Behave and communicate professionally and courteously at all times The Dubbo Region outshines the big cities in both affordability and liveability, with an impressive range of housing options, health and education services and little to no work commute your quality of life is second to none. #J-18808-Ljbffr
