Outdoor Education Instructor (School Camp Staff - GAP year opportunity) Finished Year 12 (or just excited for an adventure) and not quite ready to jump straight into on campus uni, study or stock standard full-time work? How about spending a year living and working in the bush, helping young people grow, learning new skills and going on real adventures every day instead of sitting at a desk? Mt Binga Outdoor Education Centre, owned by Immanuel Lutheran College, is looking for a full time Outdoor Education Instructor from January 2026. It is the perfect gap year style opportunity for recent graduates who love the outdoors, working with people and trying new things. At Mt Binga you will be part of a small, close-knit team running residential programs for students in Years 5 to 10. Our activities include: High ropes and navigation Hiking and expeditions Horse care and trail riding Archery Farm work with cows, sheep, chickens and horses Night programs, games and group activities What is on offer Full time role starting January 2026 Free Accommodation and meals whilst you''re on duty Extra days off each year in recognition of the type of work you do A unique experience that looks great on a resume for future study or work in education, outdoor ed, youth work, health or related fields What you will be doing Supervising and supporting students during activities, meals and free time Helping run outdoor activities and evening programs Assisting with basic farm jobs Assisting with ordering food, stock and general logistics Being part of the pastoral care of students and living in community What we are looking for A genuine interest in working with young people Someone who enjoys the outdoors and is keen to get involved in all aspects of community life Willingness to live and work within the values driven Christian ethos of Mt Binga Eligibility for a Blue Card or willingness to obtain one How to apply Applications are submitted through Seek and should include: Your resume A short cover letter telling us why you are interested and what you are looking for in your next step Applications close at 9 am on Monday 5 January 2026.
