About the Role The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment that supports learning by ensuring classrooms, offices, toilets, and communal areas are kept clean and orderly. The role involves daily tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and managing waste disposal, while also adhering to health and safety standards in the use of cleaning products and equipment. School Cleaners play an important part in infection control, reporting hazards or maintenance needs promptly, and assisting with room preparation for school activities.
