Overview Position Overview The Food & Beverage Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive top-notch service and have a memorable experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere whether it is at the bar, in the restaurant, room service, conferencing and/or events. Key Accountabilities - Greet and Seat Guests: Warmly welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements, and provide them with menus. - Take Orders: Knowledgeably describe menu items, answer questions, and take orders accurately, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions. - Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure they are presented according to standard. - Check on Guests: Regularly check in with diners to ensure they have everything they need and address any concerns. - Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the area clean and well-organised, including clearing tables, resetting, and restocking. - Collaborate with Kitchen Team: Communicate orders to the kitchen and ensure that food is prepared correctly and delivered promptly. - Handle Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately. - Upsell and Promote: Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the guests experience. - Handle Guest Requests: Address special requests and accommodate guests'' needs to the best of your ability. - Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations. - Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key Performance Indicators - Accurate task completion - Achieving team targets Skills & Experience These are the desired skills and experience for this role: - Previous experience in a similar role. - Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided). - Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
