The school is located along the Flinders Highway, approximately 45km east of Hughenden township and 332km west of Townsville. The school is eligible for the Rural and Remote Education Access Program (RREAP) and the Recognition of Rural and Remote Service (RoRRS) Scheme for suitably qualified teachers. Accommodation is available for the successful applicant. Established in 1894, the school caters for students from Prep to Year 6 and also hosts a State Delivered Kindergarten (SDK) program. The enrolment is 13 students and 2 registered SDK children. Students enjoy a supportive and caring environment where individual learning styles are catered to, ensuring their progress towards their full academic potential.
