Traffic and Transport Engineer The position plays a key role in delivering a high level of technical services to plan, design and implement the traffic, transport and parking network as part of the Works Team and the Infrastructure Services Directorate. The position also coordinates and provides technical support for the functions of the Local Traffic Forum in accordance with TfNSW guidelines. Responsibilities Develop traffic, transport (including active transport) and car parking strategies and plans that aim to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and goods throughout the Shire. Manage and implement paid and unpaid parking schemes throughout the Shire. Manage contracts for payparking system, meters and cash collection. Coordinate and provide expert traffic and transport advice to multidisciplinary teams and relevant Council Advisory Committees. Provide technical and administrative support to the Byron Shire Local Traffic Forum.
