Registered Nurse - Community Mental Health - Older People''s Mental Health Employment Type: Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week)Position Classification: Registered NurseRemuneration: $74,317 - $104,336 per annum + annual leave loading + SuperannuationLocation: Royal Prince Alfred HospitalRequisition ID: REQ625145 About The Role You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, one of the nations most respected hospitals, providing worldclass care. The Community Mental Health / Older Peoples Mental Health Team (OPMH Team) delivers a range of clinical services, including intake, assessment, consultation, treatment, and care coordination. Care coordination is the main component of this model and includes extended care coordination, targeted packages of care, and shortterm care coordination. Key Responsibilities Provide intake and assessment of older people with mental health needs. Conduct consultation and develop treatment plans. Coordinate care with other health professionals and community services. Deliver clinical services in line with the standardised Sydney LHD position description. Assist in the transition of care after discharge back to GPs or other providers. The clinician will also participate in the New Employee Skills & Transition (NEST) Program, a requirement for new clinicians with two or fewer years of experience in community mental health. During the first three months, you will receive structured training to enhance your understanding of the community clinician role and to deliver safe, highquality care. Ideal Candidate Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
