ABOUT THE ROLE Join our team as an Assistant Camp Manager at Drysdale River Station in the spectacular Kimberley region of Western Australia. This is a handson role ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in all areas of camp operations and takes pride in delivering genuine, memorable guest experiences. Drysdale River Station offers an authentic Outback experience while it is not a luxury destination, it is rich in character, community spirit, and rugged Australian charm. Working closely with the Camp Manager, you will support the daytoday running of the property across housekeeping, food and beverage service, guest engagement, and general maintenance, helping to foster a collaborative, closeknit team environment where colleagues become family and exceptional hospitality thrives. Responsibilities Actively participate in daily lodge operations across frontofhouse, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance to ensure a smooth guest experience. Support the Camp Manager with daily coordination, task allocation, and efficient operation of the camp. Assist in implementing policies and procedures that support operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and compliance. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all areas of the operation. Monitor guest feedback and assist in resolving issues promptly and professionally. Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders. Cover the Camp Managers duties during their rostered days off to ensure continuity of operations. Conduct regular quality checks of guest accommodation, lodge facilities, and grounds to maintain presentation and cleanliness standards. Assist with reservations and administrative tasks, including managing the reservations inbox alongside the administration team. This is a remote position, and you will be required to live and work at one of our properties for the entire season. We provide all meals and accommodation. Please be aware of the unique challenges and limitations associated with longterm remote living. Our season operates from April October. ABOUT YOU You are a motivated hospitality professional with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working in unique environments. You thrive in a teamfocused setting and enjoy contributing to a welcoming and highquality guest experience. Requirements A genuine love and appreciation for nature Minimum 3 years hospitality experience, ideally in an assistant or supervisory role Experience in food and beverage service (highend experience preferred) Remote First Aid and CPR certification Valid drivers licence Basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite National Criminal History Check (mandatory) Food Safety Supervisor certification Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Forklift licence REMOTE LIVING Our camps and lodges are located in some of Australias most remote regions. Many cannot be accessed by road instead, youll be flown to site from Darwin via our private aviation network. Youll live and work onsite for the entirety of the season, without regular access to nearby towns or cities.
