Patient Liaison Officer (Administrative Officer Level 6) NSW Health Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, 38 hours per week Position Classification: Administrative Officer Level 6 Remuneration: $83,554 $85,530 per annum + Annual leave loading + Superannuation Location: Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Requisition ID: REQ628091 Applications Close: 4 January 2026 About The Role Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital. The Patient Liaison Officer (PLO) is pivotal to the Local Health Districts strategy to raise additional revenue from patients electing to use their Private Health Insurance. The role is responsible for developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and providing customer-focused information regarding financial options, supporting patient election choices, maximizing patient fee revenue, and ensuring admitted patient financial records are complete and compliant with the National Healthcare Agreement, NSW Health and LHD policies and procedures. Responsibilities Provide patients and staff with support regarding patient election choices and financial information. Maximize patient fee revenue through effective communication and compliance. Review and ensure accurate financial records for admitted patients. Analyse information and data to provide solution-based feedback and concise reports for management. Collaborate with key stakeholders to meet revenue targets. Ideal Candidate Able to work a 7day rotating shift across hours of operation, including public holidays. Relevant experience in revenue, finance, or similar position in a hospital setting, with demonstrated ability to meet revenue targets. Ability to critically analyse information and data, providing solution-based feedback and clear concisely reporting for management.
