As a Factory Assistant at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, you''ll assist production tradespeople, operators and coordinators as required to help ensure reliability and performance of the Factory.This permanent position is based at Pioneer Mill in North Queensland''s Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.During the crush, the position operates on a continuous rotating shift roster, which may include weekends and occasional overtime. During the maintenance period the role switches to a day work roster with RDOs most Fridays.Your Role in ActionTradespersons Right Hand: Work alongside skilled shift tradespeople, providing handson support when and where it''s needed.Mobile Plant Pro: Hop on mobile equipment to tackle spills, rerail bins, and handle a variety of other tasks with ease.Data Detective: Collect factory samples for Lab analysis.Efficiency Enforcer: Complete lubrication check sheets, servicing and cleaning of factory equipment.FixIt Force: Report all equipment faults and damage/incidents. Assist the production team to complete preventive and emergency breakdown work.Your Winning CombinationOur ideal candidate will have the following competencies/licences: HR Licence, Dogger, Basic Rigger, Non Slew Crane, Confined Space and Working at Heights. Bonus points for candidates with a Loader Ticket, Basic Scaffold, EWP and OHG Crane.
