We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our transport team, providing a safe, reliable, and welcoming bus journey experience for our school community. This casual position is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful contribution while balancing other life commitments. Reporting to the Bus Coordinator and Property Manager, the Bus Driver will drive the College buses in a safe and responsible manner for am/pm bus runs, sport, excursions, tours etc. Location: Rothwell or Caboolture Campus Hours: 40 hours per fortnight (4 hours per day 2 hours each morning and afternoon) Start Date: 12 January 2026, in preparation for the 2026 calendar school year Note: There is availability for additional hours (e.g. sport, excursions, camps). Key Responsibilities Safely transport students to and from school, as well as to sports and camp activities Build positive relationships with students, fostering a friendly and respectful atmosphere Maintain punctuality and adhere to scheduled pickup and drop-off times Follow all road and traffic regulations to ensure safe driving practices Supervise the safe boarding and exiting of students at assigned stops About you A genuine person with a passion for driving and working with young people Hold a valid Queensland MR (or higher) drivers licence and be eligible for, or willing to obtain, a Queensland Driver Authorization (DA) Hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Queensland Working with Children Blue Card Demonstrate a strong driving history with a commitment to safety Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Have good working knowledge of the Moreton Bay region, including major road networks and traffic patterns (highly desirable) This position would suit someone with commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College About us Grace Lutheran College is one College across two campuses Rothwell and Caboolture serving a large and diverse school community.
