The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher Aide to work with students in a secondary classroom situation under the direction of the Dean of Curriculum, with a focus on learning enrichment. They will from time to time also perform administrative duties. These responsibilities are not exhaustive, and other relevant responsibilities may be performed by the Teacher Aide Senior School Learning Enrichment provided such duties are appropriate having due regard to the nature and purpose of the position. Keep detailed records of support provided to students each lesson. Read necessary texts in order to support students. Assist staff with administrative needs. Provide individual and small group support to students. Accompany students on incursion and excursions. Key Selection Criteria Previous experience in supporting students with learning enrichment is desirable. Discretion, judgement and confidentiality. Ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to exercise appropriate judgement and initiative in supporting the students and teachers. Developed and accurate computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Novell GroupWise is desirable. Certificate III in Education Support is desirable.
