The Opportunity General Manager Territory Wide Operations This role has particular focus on security, incident management and reporting, emergency response management, specialist operational training support and advice and proactive risk management. As General Manager you will Provide high-quality strategic direction, leadership and management of the Territory-wide operations team in line with the NTCS operating philosophy, strategic plan, budget and a culturally sensitive environment. Lead the provision of specialist advice on operational matters relating to correctional practice across the Territory-wide community corrections and prison system, including oversight of associated risks and management of controls, in relation to major incidents, disturbances and security breaches. Collaborate with General Managers, Regional Directors and Area Managers to promote and implement best practice in Territory-wide operations. Consult with a range of other key internal and external personnel, including Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners, in relation to operational issues. Establish and deliver systems and practices to record and report on statutory obligations and compliance of operational performance, human resource management, and financial activities. Provide support and operational leadership in the development and consultation of critical infrastructure works associated with relevant elements of the Department''s master infrastructure plan. You will possess senior level experience in the management of physical and dynamic security operations which provide for a safe work environment, whilst maximising prisoner engagement in education, programs, employment and reintegration opportunities. Additionally, you will have demonstrated experience managing significant financial and physical resources, practice innovation and a history of influencing change and reform to deliver continuous improvement and capability building. Critical to success will be your history of fostering partnerships across broad-ranging stakeholders (both internal and external), so services are delivered organisation wide.
