We offer an extensive portfolio of mainframe services, specialist skills, and leading mainframe solutions from global IT vendors.Location: Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaRole DescriptionTitle: Mainframe Db2 Application Database AdministratorShort Description: We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Db2 application Database Administrator to manage high-availability database solutions for our Mainframe customers.Responsibilities Maintain the Db2 application database environment on the z/OS platform. At least 10 years of Db2 application DBA experience on the mainframe platform with extensive Db2 experience including database design. Manage the architecture of Db2 database (structure, schema, data, performance, integrity, backup, recovery, etc.). Perform problem analysis, root cause analysis and ensure SLAs are met. Work closely with the application developers to deploy and implement Db2 changes. Implement Mainframe Db2 database changes, including after hours. Work well with all levels, including Technical, Management and Peers. Ability to work both on-site and remotely as required. Maintain and update documentation to a high standard. 24 x 7 on-call required.Qualifications At least 10 years experience in a Db2 application DBA role. A high level of problem determination skills. Experience with Db2 Data Sharing. Experience with application performance and tuning. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Requirements Must be an Australian citizen. A minimum of Baseline Australian Government clearance is required. A Government Pre Employment Screening check will need to be performed and passed.
