Senior HR Business Partner Work with the Head of People Business Partnering to strategically partner with commercially high-impact and operationally highneeds business units, manage relationships with senior leaders, develop and execute people strategies, create sustainable initiatives, leverage people metrics, lead knowledge sharing, develop commercial solutions, work with People team deliverables, lead informally and support leadership, own projects to uplift HR framework. About The Role Strategically partner with commercially high-impact and operationally highneeds business units; Focus strong partnering relationship management at the Director, General Manager and Head of levels within client group/s; Develop and execute people strategies that drive organisational outcomes through a seamless application of HR strategies to enable maximum people impact on client group/s goals and objectives; Create value adding and sustainable people initiatives owned by each business unit that solve real business performance problems; Utilise people metrics to enable leaders to apply strategic plans, make informed people and business decisions and achieve a return on investment; Set an inspirational example of Business Partnering expertise to other team members; Engage and influence senior leaders to deliver sustainable performance through modern and pragmatic people initiatives; Drive knowledge sharing initiatives among the Business Partnering team and the broader People Services division, providing thought leadership and encouraging best practice approaches to HR functional practices; Develop commercially astute solutions to opportunities, risks and roadblocks; Work towards all People team deliverables, and wider People & Culture teams, representing and integrating one approach to Auto & General people strategy; Viewed as a senior member of the People Services Team with the ability to lead informally and step into a formal leadership role as required; May own projects from time to time to uplift the overall HR Framework. Qualifications and Experience Essential: Bachelor degree in relevant discipline (Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law) Several years experience in a Business Partner or HR leadership role, and recently in a strategic and/or senior position Strong strategic thinking and analytical ability Experience managing change in organisations and building strong and effective relationships Commercial acumen Demonstrated understanding of the many levers that contribute to outcomes, including financial, commercial and cultural Significant experience across a number of HR areas including Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Remuneration, Organisation Development, Learning & Development, Change Management; Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships using a consultative style, ideally across multiple locations Desirable: Outstanding interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to adapt; Experience building and delivering HR programs, with outcomes achieved; Ability to use situational leadership to develop strengthbased approach to coach and mentor others; Ability to manage performance, absenteeism, disciplinary, misconduct, health and workplace safety matters with a high degree of professionalism, ethics and compliance with best practice. Impressive ability to research and consult as required to grow knowledge and seek answers to support business activity and/or case management, whether at hand or managing future opportunity and potential risk; Expert knowledge of all factors that influence an employees lifecycle and can therefore identify opportunities, risk, challenges and possible solutions; Has exposure to recruitment practices and can identify opportunities and challenges. Understanding of WHS and WorkCover; Experience and/or ability to manage a dynamic workload and transition between priorities with ease; Facilitation experience and ability highly desired.
