Over the course of a halfday shift in Australia''s largest charity kitchen, groups can expect to prepare, cook and pack over 1,000 free, nutritious meals for those in need people sleeping rough, families escaping domestic violence, and communities rebuilding after devastating bushfires, floods or drought. This unique, teambuilding experience creates a powerful opportunity to enhance culture and relationships, while making a tangible difference. Groups are guided by experienced chefs and may even pick up cooking skills as they dice meat, chop vegetables and pack meals. Participants will also learn about the impact of hunger in our community, and will leave the FareShare kitchen with the satisfaction of having made a meaningful contribution to communities. The FareShare kitchen provides the perfect setting for employees to interact with colleagues across departments and levels, while making a tangible difference. It''s a great way to introduce new employees to your team or build stronger relationships with clients. No special skills are required and everyone participates on an equal basis. We distributed 2.6 million free, nutritious meals in 2024 to people impacted by food insecurity. Our corporate volunteer shifts operate Monday to Thursday mornings and afternoons, as well as Friday morning. We distribute meals through our partnerships with SecondBite and FoodBank to more than 1,000 frontline charities, including homeless shelters, women''s refuges, crisis centres and community pantries. Through our partnerships, we deliver to rural, regional and remote communities across the state, making a tangible difference to people''s lives.
