Under the guidance of licenced engineers, you will gain handson experience working on various aircraft systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural components. This apprenticeship provides a structured learning environment combining onthejob training with formal technical education. While the advertised position is for a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical), it is an option to complete the Diploma ofAeroskills (Mechanical) instead. Key Responsibilities: Assist in routine inspections, scheduled maintenance, and unscheduled repairs of aircraft and components. Learn to interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and engineering drawings. Support documentation and recordkeeping for maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly used and stored. Shadow licenced engineers to observe troubleshooting techniques and defect rectification. Attend and participate in classroom training and technical workshops as required by the apprenticeship program. Requirements: Proficient in math, science, and english. Good handeye coordination and attention to detail. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately. Must meet medical and security clearance requirements for working in an airport or hangar environment.
