Our client, a well established and successful food manufacturing business in the idyllic Margaret River region requires an experienced People and Safety Advisor to join their team in a critical dual-role position with an emphasis on Health & Safety. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will drive bestpractice health, safety, and people initiatives while fostering a safe, inclusive, and highperforming workplace culture. What you will do: Health & Safety Excellence Provide expert advice and support on all workplace health and safety matters. Develop, implement, and review WHS policies, procedures, and risk assessments. Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations with thorough followthrough. Champion a positive safety culture through targeted training and engagement initiatives. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and industry best practices. Prepare and present safety reports and performance metrics to senior leadership. Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and external stakeholders. Stay current with legislative changes and recommend process improvements. People Leadership Support recruitment processes, including onboarding and integration of new employees. Develop and evaluate position descriptions across the organization. Maintain comprehensive employee documentation and records in HR3 system. Monitor new employee performance and support their development journey. Ensure compliance with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and relevant Awards. Provide expert guidance to management and staff on HR/IR matters, policies, and employment legislation. Manage conflict resolution and grievance processes in line with company procedures. Strategic Contribution Review and develop companywide policies and procedures. Lead implementation of HR and health & safety projects. Monitor emerging legislative changes and ensure organizational compliance. Undertake additional duties as directed within your area of expertise. What you will bring Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Business, Industrial Relations, or equivalent experience. Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent WHS qualification. Minimum 5 years of combined HR and EHS experience. Australian citizenship or permanent residency. Skills & Attributes Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and meet tight deadlines. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Strong conflict resolution and coaching capabilities. Sound judgment and decisionmaking ability.
