About the role We are looking for an Advisor Heritage to join the Yandicoogina Health and Safety. This role you will be the onsite focal point for Heritage supporting delivery of heritage activities such as asset maintenance, site monitoring and inspections and incident response. You will also inform and educate sitebased operations management personnel on heritage matters including key risks and controls. Youll be part of supportive teams supported by your manager to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. This opportunity exists on a 5dayson 2daysoff 4dayson 3daysoff roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. Reporting to the Manager HSEC you will: Support development of Rio Tintos Biodiversity Management Plan and Integrated Heritage Management Process submissions and delivery of Approval Requests within areas of existing traditional owner consent. Be CMS representative for Traditional Owner monitors and other consultants in Heritage and Environment where needed. Support implementation and operationalisation of specific heritage management plans for GudaiDarri. Heritage incident response & support (participate in investigations, implement heritage actions on site to resolve triage chance findings, etc.). Urgent field inspections i.e. data integrity issues gaps in surveys and sitebased support for fieldwork readiness. Asset maintenance (signage delineation), site monitoring and inspections and maintenance of archaeological repositories per annual plan. Firstline assurance and critical control verification of heritage conditions on Approval Requests, Cultural Heritage Management Plans etc. and assessment of effectiveness. Attend general manager forums and other sitebased Management Operating System meetings to provide heritage input / response incl. Risk and Assurance Forum. Build site awareness (significant sites, heritage risks / controls), provide technical heritage advice for operations management and support Approval Requests / IHMP controls execution. Provide site specific training (inductions, queries, etc.) and knowledge to thirdparty personnel. Build relationships with asset leaders and act as the site interface for heritage related issues. Support adhoc / unplanned heritage visits Obtain footage, photography, data etc. to support development of engagement materials. What youll bring A degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Heritage Management, History or equivalent with mining experience. Technical understanding in Heritage Management and ability to support fieldwork. Experience working with Traditional Owners / Indigenous groups. Undertaking surveys, inspections and monitoring. Broad background working within Heritage Management in mining & resources consulting, notforprofit Aboriginal Corporations or contract management.
