School Technical Officer - Stanthorpe State School Stanthorpe State School is seeking a School Technical Officer to join their team. In this role, you will provide IT support for school staff and maintain IT equipment. This position is being offered in a Temporary PartTime capacity (0.20FTE), 14.5 hours per fortnight (1 day a week). Key Responsibilities Provide daytoday ICT support for staff and students, including troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues. Maintain and manage school ICT assets, including device imaging, updates, repairs and asset management. Support the rollout and ongoing maintenance of departmental systems, learning technologies and classroom devices. Assist with AV equipment setup and operation for school events, meetings and classrooms. Liaise with regional ICT staff, vendors and departmental support channels to resolve complex issues. Ensure data security, user access management and adherence to departmental ICT policies and procedures. Contribute to planning for future technology needs to support teaching, learning and administrative functions. Skills And Experience We Want Demonstrated experience providing ICT support in an education or business environment. Be in possession of a Qld Department of Education Orange Card. Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows devices, networks, and common software applications. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to staff with varying levels of ICT confidence. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy school environment. Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. Understanding of departmental ICT systems and security requirements (or ability to quickly learn). NicetoHave Skills & Experience Experience supporting iPads, interactive panels, learning technologies or classroom AV equipment. Knowledge of school administration systems (e.g., OneSchool, MIS, OAMPS, SharePoint). Experience with imaging tools, device deployment, and asset management systems. Basic networking knowledge (WiFi troubleshooting, cabling, switches). Previous experience in a Queensland state school environment. Relevant ICT qualifications such as Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Information Technology. Interested?
