Applications close on Sunday, 11 January 2026 Make your mark on major projects Were looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of significant infrastructure and building projects that enhance our community and shape the future of the Huon Valley. Lead complex, highimpact projects from start to finish Fixed Term 3 Year Contract, with a total salary package $147,000 (negotiable with the right candidate) Work across diverse projects infrastructure, buildings, and community assets Flexible working arrangements Building frameworks and supportive team culture focused on continuous improvement Beautiful location with excellent lifestyle opportunities About the opportunity This is a leadership role where youll take the reins on Councils major projects and programs. Youll work closely with the Director Infrastructure and Assets and the Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic advice and ensuring the successful delivery of key priorities. From stakeholder engagement to contract management, risk mitigation to resource coordination youll drive outcomes that matter. What Youll Do: Lead and deliver complex infrastructure and building projects through all phases initiation to closure Develop project management plans, including stakeholder engagement and change management strategies Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure delivery within scope Build strong relationships with internal staff, contractors, consultants, government agencies, and community stakeholders Provide highlevel strategic advice and accurate reporting to Council and the Executive Leadership Team Champion continuous improvement and implement bestpractice project management frameworks What Youll Bring Extensive experience in project management, preferably in the building industry, from the client side Strong contract administration and contractor management skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities you can engage effectively with diverse stakeholders Proven ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems, and deliver results in a dynamic environment Current National Police Certificate, Construction White Card, and Drivers Licence What We Offer A role with genuine impact see your work improve the community every day Supportive and collaborative team environment Flexible working arrangements to help you balance work and life Opportunities for professional development and career growth Superannuation and leave entitlements in line with the Local Government Industry Award Work in one of Tasmanias most beautiful regions lifestyle and career in one place How to Apply Submit your resume and a short form response (no more than 3 pages) addressing how your experience aligns with the key requirements of the role, particularly your project management experience and stakeholder engagement skills.
