Join UGL, a leading engineering services company, and play a critical role in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of highquality tank-focused projects. As a Project Engineer, you will ensure projects meet cost, schedule, safety, and quality objectives. You will lead the planning, estimating, procurement coordination, and execution readiness stages, and provide ongoing technical and commercial support to a portfolio of projects and tank turnarounds.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver detailed project plans, scope, and execution readiness following strict timelines and milestones.Compile accurate cost estimations for labour, materials, subcontracts, and equipment.Coordinate and award procurement and subcontract packages, ensuring compliance with UGLs Procurement Policy.Conduct risk assessment workshops and support the creation of quality assurances such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).Prepare clear and accurate work packs for execution.Provide technical resolutions for design/site challenges and manage engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle.Liaise with inhouse and external design engineers to ensure engineering is fit for purpose and aligned with scope requirements.Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures, collaborating closely with the Cost Controller.Assess subcontractor performance and ensure accuracy in payment claims, variations, and progress reports.Compile asbuilt documentation and support project closeout processes, including vendor documentation and quality deliverables.Support QAQC resources to review and compile vendor documentation.Ensure all work is compliant with UGLs Quality Management Systems policies and procedures and ISO9001:2008 requirements.Skills and QualificationsA Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification/experience.Proven experience in delivering brownfield projects, turnarounds, or maintenance activities within heavyindustry environments.Applied knowledge of AS9001 Quality Systems.Experience with aboveground storage tanks in line with API650/653 (preferred).Strong project management and problemsolving abilities.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.A customerfocused mindset with a positive and adaptable attitude.Why Join UGL?Work on exciting and complex projects that make an impact.Be part of a collaborative and driven team committed to delivering quality and safety.Opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership development.Competitive remuneration and benefits package.About UGLUGL is wellknown and respected for providing endtoend engineering, construction and maintenance services across rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
