Downer Rail & Transit Systems is seeking a Technical Trainer to join our Learning & Development (L&D) team on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). This is a handson role and will be critical in developing, delivering and maintaining high-quality technical training that enables our workforce to safely and competently deliver a new rollingstock fleet, as well as overhauls, upgrades, testing and maintenance. This role would be ideal for a tradesperson looking for a change. This is a full time, fixed term contract (12 months). About the Role You will deliver technical training, assist in identifying training needs, develop learning materials, assess competency, and manage training records within our LMS. Working closely with operations, L&D and site leadership, youll ensure training meets contractual, safety and compliance requirements. What You''ll Bring Trade-qualified in mechanical, electrical or similar technical discipline 5+ years experience in a technical (rolling stock experience highly regarded) Experience developing and delivering technical training (highly regarded) TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills Committed to Zero Harm and safety leadership Why Downer RTS?
