In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the effective delivery of road maintenance and construction projects, while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team. About the Role: Coordinate and report on the Road Services team contribution to the annual Operational Plan, other relevantstrategiesand plans, supporting achievement of service and project delivery targets andtimelyreporting of service performance. Monitor the Road Services team budgets, supporting cost effectiveness, achievement of budget targets, delivery of savings and innovations, andaccuratereporting of budget performance. Manage levels of service, interventionlevelsand asset inspections as programmed and have input into ongoing development of maintenance regimes and asset plans. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence that supports effective utilisation of Councils resources. Lead, develop and coordinate Road Services team in a way that is consistent with Councils values,policiesand systems. Identify,implementandmonitorsafe work practices for the Road Services team and service risk in line with Council''s WHS policies and procedures. Liaise with Public Utility Authorities, Government Agencies and Stakeholders. Design and audit Traffic Control Plans and ensure other staff have implementedappropriate designs. Respond to emergency call outs and work overtime asrequired. Store andmaintaincorporate records in Council''s Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS)in accordance withrelevant policies,proceduresand the State Records Act. What you will bring: Contemporary experience in road construction and maintenance techniques. Contemporary knowledge and experience in the operation and management of a range of large and small plantrequiredfor road construction and maintenance, including risk management, WHS obligations and contract management. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and develop staff consistent with a culture of customer service excellence and Councilsvalues Leadership, Excellence, Accountability and Delivery. Demonstrated understanding and competence in contemporary risk management and Work Health and Safety principles and practice. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to prepareaccurateandtimelydocumentation such as reports,presentationsand procedures. WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card). Current Class HR License or equivalent. Holds a current Police Check and NSW Working with Children''s Check or willing to obtain Why Join Us?
