The role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support daily planning and lead a small crew on the floor. Youll help keep work flowing to schedule, ensure drawings/specifications are followed, and drive quality at key hold points. Builders licence is not required. Key responsibilities Supervise daily tasks for a small multi-trade team (steel/timber framing, sheeting, cladding, fit-out, general works). Allocate work, monitor progress, and escape issues early (materials, access clashes, rework, defects, delays). Maintain safe work practices; run toolbox talks and enforce SWMS/controls. Complete quality checks at nominated hold points using checklists and photos. Help interpret drawings and ensure tolerances/finishes meet company standards. Coordinate with stores/suppliers to ensure materials are available, received correctly, and stored safely. Keep work areas organised and clean (basic 5S / housekeeping). Record daily progress, defects and actions in simple digital systems (phone/tablet). Support continuous improvement to reduce rework and improve productivity. What were looking for Experience in residential construction, workshop/factory production, or modular/off-site building (highly regarded). Confident communicating with trades and subcontractors; calm, respectful leadership style. Strong eye for detail and workmanship; proactive with defect prevention. Able to read basic plans and follow scopes/specifications. Safety-first mindset and willingness to uphold standards consistently. Current driver licence. Tickets/qualifications (preferred but not essential) Trade qualification (carpentry/joinery/metal fabrication) or strong hands-on experience. White Card. Forklift / EWP / working at heights tickets.
