Are you a natural leader who enjoys solving challenges and working with people? We are looking for a Team Leader to oversee and grow the Swan Hill Regional Livestock Exchange. Why You Will Love This Role You will play a key part in keeping livestock sales running smoothly, ensuring compliance, and maintaining top standards for animal welfare and facility presentation. Your leadership will strengthen relationships with agents and vendors and support the growth in this vital regional industry. What you will do Lead Operations: Oversee daily activities and make sure everything is ready for sale days. Drive Efficiency: Organise staff, equipment, and resources to deliver on time and within budget. Think Strategically: Assist with budgets, monitor performance, and identify growth opportunities. Share Expertise: Provide advice on livestock handling, marketing trends, and compliance. What we are looking for Strong leadership and organisational skills. Knowledge of livestock handling and industry standards. Ability to assist with budgets and monitor performance. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Proven experience in livestock marketing OR formal agricultural qualification. Practical experience handling livestock. Knowledge of OH&S standards in saleyard operations. Current drivers licence. Desirable: Medium Rigid (MR) licence. Experience with liveweight sales technology and NLIS requirements. Firearms accreditation for humane destruction. Level 2 First Aid Certificate. Chemical handling accreditation. A Police Record Check will be conducted on the preferred applicant. Why join us?
